Faith Hill Signs With Red Light

Faith Hill has signed with Red Light Management, joining her husband Tim McGraw at the Charlottesville, Va., based management company founded by Coran Capshaw (Dave Matthews Band, Phish). Red Light president Will Botwin will join Capshaw in overseeing Hill’s career. Botwin is based in New York, and Red Light also has a Nashville office.

On Nov. 17 of 2009 reported that Hill and her manager of 16 years, Borman Entertainment, had parted ways.

A five-time Grammy winner, Hill is signed to Warner Bros. Nashville, and her last album release was the "Joy to the World" Christmas album in 2008. She is currently working on her seventh studio album, set to be released later this year.

McGraw signed with Red Light last April (, April 29, 2009), having previously been managed by RPM Management. McGraw and Hill together hold the record for the highest-grossing multi-year tour in country music history, with a box office gross of $142 million dollars for their "Soul2Soul Tour" outings in 2006 and 2007, according to Billboard Boxscore.

The signing of Hill again significantly boosts the country music presence of Red Light, one of the most active artist management companies in the industry. Sister company Starr Hill Presents promotes live music on a regional and national level, and together with its partners Starr Hill Presents produces large-scale music festivals nationwide including Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, San Francisco's Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival and the Mile High Music Festival in Denver.

The fully independent ATO Records Group, which was co-founded by Capshaw and includes its namesake label and the TBD Records label, exists alongside Red Light Management. Capshaw also founded the artist services/direct-to-fan powerhouse MusicToday, which was sold to Live Nation in 2006. Other Capshaw business concerns include music venues, the Starr Hill Brewery, the Five Guys hamburger chain, and numerous real estate developments.

Both Hill and McGraw are booked by Creative Artists Agency.
