Leo and Ravi continue to distinguish themselves from parent group VIXX with the success of the latest release from VIXX LR.

The sub-unit consisting of the vocalist and rapper sees their new Whisper EP debut at No. 2 on Billboard's World Albums chart, tying the outfit's best position on the chart after 2015's Beautiful Liar also peaked in the runner-up position and remained on the chart for three weeks. After selling about 1,000 album units, according to Nielsen Music, the release marks the best-selling K-pop album in America for the week.

With of-the-moment tribal beats, moombahton and electro-funk productions, Whisper continues to spotlight Leo and Ravi's particular specialties. Specifically, Leo's slinky falsetto gets to perform a slew of vocal acrobatics on the title track while his soaring harmonies conjure up tangible inspiration on the anthemic "Today." Meanwhile, the husky voiced Ravi excels in every self-composed verse, spitting some of his fastest deliveries on clubby standout "Beautiful Night." While VIXX focuses on bewitching concepts and images, VIXX LR feels like a further experimentation of different genres and music styles.

VIXX LR's new single "Whisper" also debuts at No. 9 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart, the duo's second Top 10 entry, after selling about a 1,000 copies. "Beautiful Liar" peaked at No. 8.

VIXX LR has been a substantial success for VIXX, selling 5,000 equivalent album units in America to date in their two releases together, while parent group VIXX has sold 42,000 units to date, according to Nielsen Music.
