Luke Combs’ 2019 Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour will come to an end with two sold-out shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena tonight (Dec. 13). During first night at the venue on Thursday evening (Dec. 12), the singer surprised the audience in a major way: Keith Urban joined for an exhilarating performance of “Hurricane.”

After Combs finished the first verse and chorus of "Hurricane," the arena erupted when Urban snuck out from behind the stage to sing the second verse. As the pair finished the song, fans launched into a sing-along, with Urban trading riffs on guitar with Combs’ band as the concert came to an end.

The first of two sold-out nights at Bridgestone Arena, Urban wasn’t the only surprise guest on Thursday night. Earlier in the evening, Thomas Rhett joined for Combs' What You See Is What You Get track “Lovin’ on You.”

Extremely grateful for being on the famed stage playing for a sold-out crowd, Combs recalled first seeing a concert at the venue in 2010, when Garth Brooks played one of nine benefit shows there to raise money for the city of Nashville after a flood earlier that year. At that time, Combs hadn’t yet picked up guitar and drove from his home in North Carolina to be there.

He then reflected on everything that has happened with his career since then -- including seven consecutive No. 1 Country Airplay hits, starting with "Hurricane" in 2017. “Honestly, this has been more than I ever could have dreamed in my wildest dreams,” he said ahead of playing “Houston, We Got a Problem.”

Later, the singer marveled at how everything now has his name on it -- from his guitar picks, guitar strap and drum kit to hats, tickets and t-shirts. “I want you guys to know that there are countless amounts of people, yourselves included, who work so much harder than I do every day to make sure this show happens every night,” he said ahead of performing “This One’s For You.”

“People from right here in Nashville who showed up this morning to build this stage and hang these lights up, the people scanning your tickets, the people pouring your beers, the people cleaning the bathrooms," he continued. "Nobody ever gives it up for those people and they deserve just as much [recognition]. And last but certainly not least is you guys. You came in here tonight and spent your hard-ass earned money to come and watch me play music, and that is not lost on me and will never be lost on me.”
