Singer-songwriter Clairo earns her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated Oct. 24), as her single "Sofia" starts at No. 98.
The track debuts on the strength of 5.9 million U.S. streams (up 21%) in the tracking week ending Oct. 15, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
"Sofia," released on FADER Label/Caroline, also rises 13-8 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, where it's Clairo's second top 10, after Wallows' "Are You Bored Yet?," on which she's featured, reached No. 7 in July.
"Sofia," which sports HAIM's Danielle Haim on drums and was produced by Rostam, also debuts at No. 28 on Alternative Airplay, where it's Clairo's second charted song. "Bored" bullets at No. 4 on the list after reaching No. 3.
The Atlanta-born, Massachusetts-raised Clairo (real name: Claire Cottrill) released her debut LP Immunity in August 2019. The set, which includes "Sofia," debuted at its No. 9 peak on Top Rock Albums that month. A week ago, it returned to the list for the first time since its arrival and this week rises 47-38, up 14% to 6,000 equivalent album units.
