The duo also helped implement such new initiatives as the Global Music Data Alliance with Havas and hiring GroupM's Mike Tunnicliffe to head business development that should see UMG increase its industry-leading 38.7 percent market share. "If there is a rallying cry," says Muir, who this year temporarily ran Universal Music Publishing Group, "it is to grab hold of what's new and make it happen."
