Since coming aboard as CEO when Len Blavatnik acquired Warner Music Group in 2011, Cooper has had to juggle managing cash flow with a debt-burdened balance sheet so that label heads are able to develop new artists. Known as a corporate takeover specialist before joining WMG, Cooper has streamlined the decision-making process to allow his executives to move quickly. It has paid off: Beyond making small acquisitions in 2014, WMG also managed to break new talent like Nico & Vinz, Charli XCX, Echosmith, Clean Bandit, Royal Blood and Robin Schulz, while bringing Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars to superstar status.
BUSINESS ROLE MODEL: "Executives who can maintain a balance between their work and their home life. I am not an advocate of 24/7 working."
