Macy Gray channels Stevie Wonder for her next project, a reinterpretation of the living legend's classic album "Talking Book." The Oct. 30 release of the 429 Records/Savoy Label Group project coincides with the 40th anniversary of the original recording.
Macy Gray is going the interpretive route for her next album, covering songs by the likes of Kanye West, Metallica and Radiohead. Produced by Hal Willner, 429 Records will release Gray’s “Covered” on March 27.
Gene McDaniels, who recorded the 1961 hit "A Hundred Pounds of Clay" and later wrote Roberta Flack's chart-topping single "Feel Like Makin' Love," has died. He was 76.
