The rumors are true: Le Tigre , the electroclash band fronted by former Bikini Kill singer Kathleen Hanna, has written and produced several songs with Christina Aguilera  for the pop princess' next album. "Needless to say, for a feminist band obsessed with pop music, it was pretty much a dream come true."
String Cheese Incident , the Denver-based jam band whose three-year hiatus had left its legion of fans wondering if the group was broken up, announced that they would return to the road this summer. According to Spinner , the group has announced a series of dates at the majestic Colorado venue Red Rocks, and a festival appearance in Oregon. More dates are expecting in the coming weeks.
A decade after sweeping the Grammys, Santana 's "Supernatural" will be re-issued as a two-disc "Legacy Edition." The original album, which featured Santana's collaborations with Rob Thomas, Lauryn Hill, Mana, Eric Clapton and others. will be accompanied by seven previously-unreleased tracks plus re-mixes and instrumental versions. Carlos Santana kicks off a run of shows at Las Vegas' The Joint Feb. 3 - 21 entitled "Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through The Hits."
Johnny Depp, the much-beloved actor who modeled his Jack Sparrow character in the "Pirates Of The Carribean"character on Rolling Stones  guitarist Keith Richards, is set to direct a documentary film about the rock and roll hero. "Now that I'm wiser, and that enough time has passed, I can experience directing again," Depp said in a European interview (discovered and translated by The Playlist ). "Already next week I'll start working on a Keith Richards documentary. While I'm in Drvengrad, my editor is already working on kilometers of archive footage and footage of his concerts. I'm very touched that Keith agreed to show up in front of my cameras."
Die-hard fans of the Bonnaroo music festival will have to wait another week before they find out which of thier favorite bands will headline the annual three day gathering in Manchester, Tenn. Festival promoters announced  today that the lineup will be slowly revealed on Feb. 9 via an unusual multimedia presentation. Tickets will go on sale immediately following the announcement.
