No surprise that Justin Timberlake is headed back to the silver screen, where he will star alongside Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams in the Warner Bros. film "Trouble With the Curve." Meanwhile, it looks like Taylor Swift will be staying away from the film world for a little while longer, as the 22 year old is no longer tied to the movie adaptation of "Les Misérables."
Timberlake, who acted in Oscar-winning drama "The Social Network" in 2010 and rom-com "Friends With Benefits" in 2011, will star as Johnny Flanagan, a former pitcher and current New York Yankees scout. The character is a potential love interest for Amy Adams, who has been cast as Eastwood's daughter. The film follows an aging baseball scout with vision problems as he travels to Atlanta with his daughter to look at a player, Variety reports .
Earlier this month, it was reported that Taylor Swift had been offered the role of Eponine in the upcoming film adaptation of Broadway musical favorite "Les Misérables." But as of yesterday (Jan. 31), The Hollywood Reporter reported that UK actress Samantha Barks -- who has twice played Eponine on stage -- was officially cast in the role.
Swift was being considered alongside Scarlett Johansson, "Glee" star Lea Michele , and Evan Rachel Wood. Also starring in the movie, based on the book by Victor Hugo, are Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway.
