K enny Chesney  will release a new album on June 19, his label Sony Music Nashville announced on Thursday (March 1). The currently-untitled disc will be Chesney's first since 2010's "Hemingway's Whiskey," which topped the Billboard 200 and spent 66 weeks on the chart.
"Whiskey" received some of the best reviews of his career and contained hits "The Boys Of Fall," "Somewhere With You," and his CMA-winning "You And Tequila," a collaboration with Grace Potter.
With more than 30 million albums sold and 22 No. 1 singles under his belt buckle, Kenny Chesney is one of the most successful recording acts in the history of country music. In addition, his live shows have become summer vacations themselves for the more than 11 million fans who have purchased tickets over the last decade.
Chesney leads the Academy of Country Music pack with 9 nominations, which include Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year ("Hemingway's Whiskey" as both artist and producer), Male Vocalist of the Year, and also earned double nominations for Single Record of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year as both artist and producer for "You And Tequila" with Grace Potter. Chesney is also nominated for Song of the Year for "You And Tequila" with Grace Potter.
On June 2, two weeks before the new album comes out, Chesney's co-billed 'Brothers of the Sun' with Tim McGraw kicks off in Tampa, Fl. The trek marks the first time in 10 years the longtime friends have hit the road together. Featuring Grace Potter & The Nocturnals and Jake Owen, the tour will hit stadiums across the country and will be the only cities and venues Chesney will play in 2012.
