Country star Jake Owen proposed to his girlfriend Lacey Buchanan onstage Saturday at a charity event in his hometown.
In the adorable but shaky video, Owen calls his now-fiance onto the stage at his alma mater, Vero Beach High, in the middle of his hit "Don't Think I Can't Love You." The singer got down on one knee and proposed, amidst a crowd of screaming fans that included hometown friends and family. Watch below.
He joked about not having a ring, suggesting that the proposal was spontaneous, and referenced his own song lyrics. "I just said I can't buy you a big diamond ring or a big old house on the hill, but I promise you I'll love you forever and ever and ever," Owen said, prompting Buchanan to jump into his arms and begin the post-proposal kissing.
Owen tweeted Sunday, "I'm a happy man. Life is complete." Buchanan has starred in two of the country singer's music videos, "Eight Second Ride" and "Barefoot Blue Jean Night."
Last month, Owen topped the Country Songs chart with his second consecutive No. 1, "Alone with You."
