Just two days after releasing "Good Time," Owl City's duet with Carly Rae Jepsen , sole member Adam Young has pushed back the release date of his upcoming fourth studio album, "The Midsummer Station."
Originally due Aug. 14, the record will now debut a week later, on Aug. 21. "Due to some exciting developments, 'The Midsummer Station' release date has been moved," Young wrote on Owl City's website. "Sorry for the longer wait, but we promise it's worth it."
"I feel that as an artist you should never really look back or repeat yourself," Young told Billboard.com last month. "This was sort of taking a flying leap on that way. I was a little bit scared at first because of all the co-writing and allowing other people to co-pilot this project, but listening back, as I live with it, I'm really excited about it.
In the weeks before the album is released, Young will kick off a promotional tour, traveling through North America in June and then oversees in August.
