Fans of Swedish indie rock band Little Dragon got a surprise at their Austin show on Aug. 7 when Big Boi paid a visit. The Atlanta rapper joined the Swedes on stage to debut "Mama Told Me," to be featured on his upcoming second solo album "Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors" (Nov. 13)
The track begins with electonic notes and a funky '70s-style bass riff. Big Boi soon takes over with smooth raps, proving he's still one of the hottest MCs out there. Little Dragon's Yukimi Nagano sings the hook on "Mama Told Me." "I always knew I'd be a star, that's what Mama told me," she sings.
Big Boi seemed to be in high sprits during the performance, as he hopped around stage and sung along to the song's synthesizer riff. Watch the performance below:
"Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors" follows up Big Boi's 2010 solo debut, "Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty," which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.
