Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw score the No. 1 ranking on this week's Hot Tours recap with box office grosses reported from two more NFL stadiums on their Brothers of the Sun co-headlining tour. Representing this week's totals is an Aug. 3 performance at the famed Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans as well as a concert on Aug. 4 at Houston's Reliant Stadium.
The country music superstars have played 18 stadiums since launching the tour on June 2, and overall ticket sales now top $72 million as of the most recent totals reported to Billboard, making it the top-grossing
tour in North America since Memorial Day weekend.

Hip-hop acts Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller make their first appearance on the Hot Tours tally, at No. 2, with $4.4 million in ticket sales reported from their Under The Influence of Music Tour. This week's totals come from 10 performances that occurred July 25 through August 5.
The first concert was at Atlanta's 19,000-seat outdoor venue, Aaron's Amphitheatre at Lakewood with the number of sold tickets topping 10,400. Shows at eight more outdoor amphitheaters followed as well as an indoor arena concert on August 4 at First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y. The combined attendance count from all venues was 172,477.
The multiple-artist American Idols Live tour has been a continuing presence on the weekly Hot Tours chart since kicking off its 2012 summer trek on July 6 in Detroit. The tour features the top 10 contestants from the 11th season of the Fox television program. American Idols live lands at No. 5 among the top 10 tours this week based on box office revenue reported from six U.S. arenas.
With current champ and Georgia native Phillip Phillips topping the bill, the top attendance total came from the Atlanta market with 8,053 tickets purchased for a sold out performance on August 5 at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
Overall ticket revenue from the 2012 tour tops the $8 million mark (from 142,000 tickets sold) so far based on 24 performances, according to promoter AEG Live. Those numbers are trending behind the tour's 2011 take when nearly double the amount of shows (47 dating from July 6 through September 10) took in $22,002,464 from sales of 403,695 tickets.
