An alleged burglar didn't stand a chance against LL Cool J .
After Jonathan Kirby reportedly trigged the rapper-actor's Sherman Oaks home's security alarm, LL caught the man and held him until police arrived -- leaving Kirby with a broken nose, jaw and ribs, according to CNN .
Kirby is being charged with first degree burglary, which follows previous convictions for voluntary manslaughter, auto theft, first degree burglary and petty theft. He's reportedly been charged as a "third striker," which could land him a sentence of 38 years to life.
Kirby remains hospitalized following his injuries.
