|K-pop's recent international success has been in large part due to its ability to consistently cultivate and export the "new": new signature dance moves, new addictive hooks and beats, tnew hairstyles and outfits. Thus it is no surprise that every year new promising K-pop's groups are born looking to reinvent the Korean music scene. To celebrate the first anniversary of the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 chart's Aug. 25, 2011 launch, we look to the future twelve months with a list of 10 rookie K-pop artists that are looking to make a big splash on the chart in the coming year.||

Cube Entertainment's new group BTOB, short for "Born To Beat", made its first international mark when they were selected to headline the Korean music showcase at Asia's biggest music conference, "Music Matters Live 2012," in Singapore on May 24 alongside some of K-Pop's biggest names, including hip-hop couple Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae. The group confirmed its rising popularity during its first live showcase at Bugis Junction when they attracted thousands of fans without the help of any previous promotional activities in Singapore. The boys continue to perform with BEAST, 4Minute and G.Na for "Cube United."

SM Entertainment knows a thing or two about placing their artists at the forefront of the global music market. With great K-pop lineup that includes TVXQ, Girls' Generation, Super Junior and Shinee, the company debuted brother groups EXO-K and EXO-M simultaneously in Korea and China. The twin groups' popularity is growing fast, having wowed with their debut effort, "Mama." Other notable achievements of the boys include hitting No. 8 on the Billboard World Albums chart.

Eschewing cutesy outfits, the girls mesmerize fans and casual music listeners with a fearless hip-hop style. Ram is a younger sister to T-ara's Boram and Yoojin and boasts exceptional singing skills. The group's nine-track album, "Welcome To Business," which was released on August 2, features "I'm Missing You," is a collaborative effort with DM and KUSH, the latter being best known as the mastermind behind Bigbang & 2NE1's biggest hits. Ram also contributed her composing skills to four tracks: "Crush," "Sleep Late," "Anniversary," and "Before The Weekend Comes."

New male duo JJ Project was formed with the objective of becoming the modern day Deux. Deux was a massively popular, first generation K-Pop group and contemporaries of Seotaiji and Boys in the '90s. The duo's debut effort, May's "Bounce" -- a unique mix of hip-hop, rock, and electronica -- was composed and penned by the renowned J.Y. Park.

The group was assembled by former Fly to the Sky member Hwan Hee under his management company H2 Media. On its first effort, "Message," it has shown versatility in working with various genres of music that far outpaces the boys' experience.

B1A4 has been special since it began even in the way the boys were first introduced to an international fan base casted as cartoon characters. The group released its first EP album, "Let's Fly," in April 2011, and has released five more mini albums since that time. Leader Jinyoung is more than just a pretty face: he also wrote "Baby I'm Sorry," which was the title track from their first album "Ignition."

Seven-member girl group A-Pink emphasizes a lively and cute style that attracts fans of all ages. The "A" stands for "best," while "Pink" stands for "girlishness." Labelmates to Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 chart-topper Huh Gak, the girls scored this year's "Special Newcomer Award" at the Asian Model Awards and "Rookie of the Year" award at the Seoul Music Awards.

Rookie boy group A-Jax has been tagged as the next generation of K-Pop to lead the "Korean Wave." The guys' latest hit, "One 4U," a pop tune that mixes European baroque metal's intensity with dance performance, also grabbed lots of attention for its over-the-top music video. In the clip, the boys ascend through time and space. On August 9, the boys dazzled the stage of Japan's biggest music festival "A-Nation."

Sistar's label mate Boyfriend includes twin brothers Youngmin and Kwangmin, a pair who created a buzz even before their debut as child actors in TV commercials. Ahead of the group's official debut, Boyfriend held a showcase event at the Budokan in Japan in June which pulled in a total of 40,000 attendees over four days.

Vixx's second single, "Rock Ur Body," was produced by the hit-maker Shinsadong Tiger after the group debuted with "Super Hero" in May and became the first K-pop group invited to "Otakon," an Asian animation event held in Baltimore, Md.
