After rocking with models in "Oh Love," Green Day's new video is a more dangerous affair.
The punk trio's "Kill the DJ" finds them riding motorcycles through the desert before the black-and-white video explodes into dance floor color. An unimpressed Billie Joe Armstrong and company stride through the nightlife scene before hitting the stage themselves. The profanity-laced, Clash-channeling track, which urges, "Shoot the f***ing DJ," gets gory as partygoers turn violent.
The band's three-album trilogy will launch with Sept. 25's "¡Uno!," with "¡Dos!" and "¡Tré!" due Nov. 13 and Jan. 15, 2013, respectively. As the band geared up for the releases with a handful of international dates, Armstrong was admitted to an Italian hospital over the weekend, forcing a show cancellation.
"We're beyond devastated, we're as sad as you guys are -- Billie's extremely upset about it, and we'll see you very soon," Tre Cool said in a video message to fans.
The band's next show is scheduled for Sept. 21 at the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas, Nev.
