After Frank Ocean made his "Saturday Night Live" debut and performed a pair of "Channel Orange" cuts on Saturday night (Sept. 15), the R&B crooner released an extended music video for one of those songs, the winding opus "Pyramids."
With "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane hosting the "SNL" premiere, Ocean took the stage to run through "Pyramids" and "Thinkin Bout You," the latter of which he performed at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month. As expected, John Mayer (who guests on the "Channel Orange" cut "White") was on hand to accompany Ocean on guitar, ending "Pyramids" with an extended solo.
Shortly after he floored viewers with his SNL performance, Frank Ocean debuted his video for "Pyramids." The Nabil directed visual opens with Frank shooting at shot glasses to "Channel Orange" song, "Pink Matter." He proceeds to drive through a desert and laugh his way through a strip club, most in slow motion. An encounter between Ocean and Mayer closes the eight-minute video.
