Easton Corbin knows that all eyes in Music City are going to be upon him as he releases his sophomore album, "All Over The Road," this week. After all, the first two singles -- "A Little More Country Than That" and "Roll With It" -- from his self-titled 2010 debut both climbed all the way to the top of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. He admits to there being a little bit of pressure, but he's confident the music on the new project will perform equally well.
"You have a long time to prepare for your first album, and then as the second one comes up, you're out there in the trenches working your first," Corbin told Billboard in an exclusive interview. "A lot of times you don't really have time to come up for air, and start working on the second one as soon as you would like. I did feel a little pressure, since we did have some success. You want to do just as good or better on the next one. I think we did that on this record, I really do."

What was it like for him to come out of the gate so fast? "It's so hard to explain to people… To come out of the box with two number ones like that, you think 'Ok, is this how it works?' But, it really doesn't. It's just one of those things that as a new artist, you want to be successful, and you want to have success like that. But, it's actually few and far between."
"All Over The Road" marks Corbin's second collaboration with producer Carson Chamberlain, and he grins when reminded that many in the industry liken his vocal style to that of George Strait. "I don't argue with that one," he says, adding "That's a huge compliment. I'm very proud of that, but there will never be another George Strait. He's the king, he's there for a reason, and he's there to stay."
At the same time, he and Chamberlain have assembled an album that sets himself apart from the pack. "I think that's the goal of any artist," he confirms. "You want people when they are listening to the radio and they hear your song, they say 'That's Easton Corbin.' That's definitely a goal."
The new set, out Sept. 18 on Mercury Records, features the infectious first single, "Lovin' You Is Fun," which sits at No. 10 on Country Songs and No. 73 on the Hot 100 this week. "That song was a little different," he says. "I just loved the cadence of it, and how it just has that rapid-fire lyric. I thought it was so catchy, especially for a first single."
Another standout cut on the album is the stunning "I Think Of You," which closes the album. It made an impact on Corbin right from the start. "When I first heard one, it made the tears want to well up in my eyes. It puts you in that mood where you think about good times you have had with people in your life, and those that have influenced you in a special way. I think it can mean different things to different people."
