Rising L.A. rap collective Odd Future poke fun at their unhinged attitude and tear apart a record executive's office in "Odd Future Gets Signed," a new comedy clip from Funny Or Die. Watch the NSFW video below:
"It's like the Black Eyed Peas , if the Black Eyed Peas made music," a record executive (played by "Human Giant" and "The League" star Paul Scheer) at the ficitional EKG Records says describing Odd Future's hip-hop stylings before the group's Tyler, the Creator, Hodgy Beats, Mike G, Left Brain and Jasper Loc barge into the room. The label spokesman at first celebrates their "devil-may-care attitude" and tries to adjust their style for mass consumption (his idea: a Disney channel show called "Odd Future Kidz"), and the group responds by setting his plant on fire, breaking a framed record and making an unsavory joke about Selena Gomez . Soon enough, Odd Future is breaking everything in sight -- until Tyler, the Creator cusses out the executive for not using a coaster.
The clip plays up Odd Future's gonzo approach to hip-hop, which was showcased during a recent performance on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" in which the group ran around the set and Tyler jumped on the host's back. While the group is not yet attached to a record label, group leader Tyler, the Creator recently signed a one-albumdeal with XL.
