Lady Gaga made her runway debut -- and premiered a new song -- at designer Thierry Mugler's women's fashion show in Paris Wednesday (Mar. 2). The pop star debuted "Government Hooker," an up-tempo track from her forthcoming album, "Born This Way."
Gaga first hit the catwalk (0:25 in the video above) in an all-black outfit, clutched a cigarette between her lips and preened for onlookers, who included Vogue's Anna Wintour. The singer sashayed down the runway one more time to close the show (6:25), donning an all-white getup and whipping a long scarf.
With lyrics like "I'm gonna drink my tears tonight/ I'm gonna drink my tears and cry/ 'Cause I know you love me, baby," "Government Hooker" appears to be darker in tone than Gaga's current Hot 100 champ "Born This Way."
Along with "Government Hooker," the Mugler show featured Gaga's "Born This Way" and "Scheiße." The latter was first unveiled at the French fashion house's menswear show in January, which Gaga did not attend.
Gaga also sported a head-turning black outfit by Mugler at the Feb. 13 Grammys while accepting her award for Best Pop Vocal Album, for "The Fame Monster."
