Beyoncé 's version of "God Bless the USA" has hit iTunes after being unveiled on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" last night (May 5). Proceeds for the song will benefit New York Police & Fire Widows' & Children's Benefit Fund.
"On behalf of New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund's Board of Directors and the families of our fallen heroes, we are truly grateful for Beyoncé's choice to support our charity and 'answer the call'," said Stephen J. Dannhauser, Chairman of the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund.
Along with the charity single, Beyoncé recently released "Run The World (Girls)," the first taste of her still-untitled fourth album. The song slips to No. 48 in its second week on the Hot 100.
The singer has also teamed up with Michelle Obama to fight childhood obesity through the "Let's Move! Flash Workout" campaign. Beyoncé surprised middle schoolers at PS 161 in Harlem earlier this week as they practiced moves from her "Move Your Body" video.
