In between numerous gigs, recording their 13th album "Undun" (Dec. 6), as well as playing 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' on a nightly basis, The Roots [1] truly prove there's no rest for the wicked. Continuing in such a spirit is their latest "To Life, Love & Loot" courtesy of Captain Morgan [2].
"We felt real comfortable with it and we welcome the challenge of sort of stepping out of our musical comfort zone to try a different stylistic approach," said ?uestlove [3] of the fuzzy 70's rock-inspired track.

"The Roots sort of embody all sorts of musical styles and what not, but I'll say that we've not ever done a track this aggressive and hard sounding," he said. "It's like a funk rock track, if you will."
Back at their 'Jimmy Fallon' gig, The Roots will have a special guest sitting in on Friday (October 28). "For his Le Freak book, Nile Rodgers will be sitting with us on Friday." Questo is apparently a fan of the recent release, as he tweeted to Rodgers: "@nilerodgers I'm on chapter 7 man! Loving it!"
