Before he's a rapper, actor or business man, T.I. is a family man. "God, family, hustle… in that order," T.I. proclaimed on the first episode of "T.I. & Tiny: The Familly Hustle," his show with wife Tameka "Tiny " Cottle. On the VH1 docu-series, which debuted Dec. 5, T.I. gives fans an in-depth look at his day-to-day life since being freed on Sept. 29.
"There are so many platforms that my family has that they would like to showcase to the world," T.I. tells Billboard.com's The Juice. "We feel like this is the best way to execute and take advatnage of the opportunity to showcase these talents, hustles and abilities to the world."
Tip signed on to do the show to not only showcase the talents of his family but also clear up any misconceptions of the hip-hop mogul. "People talk so much and draw a false conclusion based on what they don't know. So if you give them something, if you show them, then at least they can speak from a place of knowledge and intellect rather than from a place of confusion and assumption," he said.
"People assume my life to be a certain way because I've gone through certain things but they don't recognize that I'm still a man. I still have a family. I'm still very much a family man," he said.
In the final installment of our interview with him, T.I. tells The Juice that he is flexing his production skills for the OMG Girlz and mentoring his son, rising rapper, Domani.
"I'm trying to see how many times he (Domani) is gonna make the same song, though. He be saying some fly shit. But it's all about the money," T.I. said of his son, Domani. "I'm trying to see, 'What is your internal message?' 'What have you experienced?' 'What message would you like to convey besides that?' When I feel like he's reached a level where I feel like he needs to be challenged in a different way, then I'm going to challenge him in a different way."
"He hijacked my 'I'm Flexin'' and did an unofficial remix. He told me, 'Yeah pops I got a remix to 'I'm Flexin'' coming out.' I was like, 'Well, damn. Okay," T.I. said.
T.I. is also "very proud" of his step-daughter, Zonnique, who is a member of the R&B teen trio, OMG Girlz. "We just shot their first video. I'm very proud of them. They're on the Scream tour right now with Diggy, Mindless Behavior. They're loving it," T.I. told The Juice. "They're about to end this first leg then after that we're going to go in together and I'm going to have to make my contributions to the album, production wise. I got some records that I would like to offer them."
