After parting ways with Atlantic Records in 2007, Twista has signed a joint venture with EMI Global Music Services for his Get Money Gang Entertainment, it was announced yesterday (February 26). The first project under the new partnership is the rapper's own sixth studio album, "Category F5," scheduled for a June 16, 2009 release. First single "Wetter" was made available for digital download on iTunes this week.
Producers like Jim Jonsin, The Tastemakers, Street Runner, Good Will, MGI, Toxi and Traxster worked on "F5," while Kanye West, Akoon, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, Static Major and Bobby Valentino, among others, make guest appearances. Aside from "Wetter," the crossover track "She Got It" will appear on the set as well.
Twista's last album, "Adrenaline Rush 2007," has sold 123,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
