The electro-pop duo will follow up "Walking on a Dream" with their first album in five years.
Empire of the Sun is ready to return to the dance-pop throne.
The Australian group will release sophomore album "Ice on the Dune" in June. The duo will debut new material at this week's SXSW music festival, with a first-come, first-served listening party scheduled for Friday. Non-attendees will have to settle for the group's cinematic album trailer, a lens-flare filled scene in a mysterious cave with shades of "Lost" that concludes with the duo in full Empire regalia -- and a snippet of new music.
The group's 2008 debut, "Walking on a Dream," has notched them multiple ARIA awards and Gold status in the U.S., with their colorful costumes and elaborate live show making them a festival staple.
