The UK's Little Mix notched over 5 million views during the charting week, thanks to 'Change Your Life'
Little Mix  debuts on Billboard's Social 50 chart this week, propelled onto the tally by a 27% rise in overall fan base coming from the success of their newest video, "Change Your Life."
The British female vocal quartet -- which debuts at No. 50 on the Social 50 -- consists of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, and was formed on the 2011 edition of "The X Factor" in the U.K. The SYCO/Columbia act's first U.S. radio single, "Wings," also debuts on the Pop Digital Songs chart at No. 42, with 17,000 downloads sold according to Nielsen SoundScan.
As for "Change Your Life," it has racked up 4.5 million views since its Jan. 31 release, and has led to a 48% increase in weekly views to the group's VEVO channel, which saw over 5 million views during the charting week ending Feb. 10. A total of 91,000 individuals talking about the girl group on Facebook led to the addition of 28,000 new fans on the platform (a 10% increase over the previous week) and 69,000 new Twitter followers.
Little Mix's high amount of online engagement has been driven by their Mixers Magnets social campaign, where Little Mix fans around the world are competing for a chance to win a Little Mix event in their country by pinning where they live to a map on the group's official website. Little Mix is now encouraging entrants from the top countries to compete in a series of challenges that will determine which country gets a visit from the group.
Fall Out Boy Rises: Fall Out Boy  returned to music after a three-year hiatus on Monday, Feb. 4, with the debut of its new track, "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)." During this past charting week, the group released the official video for the song (starring 2 Chainz) to the tune of over a million views on VEVO to date, contributing to enough points for a No. 49 debut on this week's Social 50 chart.
The track serves as a preview to Fall Out Boy's sixth studio album, "Save Rock and Roll," which is due out April 16. They enter the chart with the addition of 130,000 new fans across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, a 392% increase over the previous week.
Mentions on Twitter spiked the day the new single was released (Feb. 4), with over 48,000 people tweeting the band, adding to the over 100,000 times Fall Out Boy was mentioned on Twitter over the week that followed.
Wikipedia traffic spiked concurrently with Twitter activity. Fall Out Boy's page received 71,000 hits on Feb. 4, and over 284,000 in the week after. The new single and its over 1 million views to date has helped bring in a total of just over 2 million weekly views to their VEVO channel.
Additionally, the track storms Rock Digital Songs and Alternative Digital Songs at No. 1 (and Hot Digital Songs at No. 3) with 162,000 first-week downloads sold. It debuts on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 26.
Elsewhere, party rockin' duo LMFAO  surges 37-12 in the tally from activity generated by members Redfoo and Sky Blu’s respective “Bottles” song releases. Redfoo’s “Bring Out The Bottles” lyric video has received 140,000 views to date since its Jan. 23 release, and Sky Blu’s “Pop Bottles” tops at just 190,000. The combined attention helped LMFAO gain over 500,000 fans across multiple platforms during the charting week.
To round out the top 10, Beyonce remains at No. 1 while Rihanna rises (3-2) along with Shakira (8-3). Bieber tumbles (2-4) while Skrillex jumps back into the top 10 at No. 5, charting above Taylor Swift who remains steady at No. 6. Britney Spears slides (4-8) below Bruno Mars, who remains at No. 7. Finally, One Direction slips 5-9 while Katy Perry anchors the top 10 at No. 10.
