With a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Performance ("I Want You") in his back pocket, Luke James  debuts a his mixtape, "Whispers in the Dark," today (Dec. 12).
The lustrous 11-track project features a guest appearance by Hit-Boy ("Oh God") and is entirely produced by Danja, who is at the helm of New Age Rock Star Records (N.A.R.S.).
Within this past year, the singer-songwriter -- who's written for the likes of Chris Brown , Justin Bieber  and Britney Spears  -- has opened for Beyoncé  at her four-day Revel concert series, and performed at the 2012 Essence Music Festival and BET Black Girls Rock alongside Anthony Hamilton  and Eric Benét .
Luke James is currently working on his album, "Made to Love," expected to debut in 2013.
