Philadelphia-based arena management firm Global Spectrum has promoted Larry Hovick to the position of regional VP, company COO John Page announced.
Hovick, a former touring production manager and lighting designer, will continue to serve as GM of the American Royal Center and 19,500-seat Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Mo.
In his new role, Hovick will oversee day-to-day operations of Global Spectrum-managed venues, including the Fargodome (Fargo, N.D.), the Budweiser Events Center (Loveland, Colo.), and Spartan Stadium on the campus of San Jose State University (San Jose, Calif.).
Additionally, he will play an important role in securing additional events for Global Spectrum-managed facilities throughout the United States and Canada, and will assist in the acquisition of new accounts for the company.
Prior to joining Global Spectrum and the American Royal Center in 2003,
Hovick spent 10 years at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater (formerly known as Sandstone Amphitheatre) in Bonner Springs, Kan.
