Publishing veteran Michelle Berlin joins Cherry Lane Music Publishing as the company expands into the Nashville music community. Berlin, who will serve as creative director, reports to Richard Stumpf, senior VP of creative services and marketing for Cherry Lane.
Berlin, who joins the company with 10 years of music publishing experience, previously served as creative director at BMG Music Publishing in Nashville.
In her new role heading Cherry Lane's Nashville office, Berlin will be responsible for signing writers, handling catalog acquisition and exploitation and creative development.
Cherry Lane is a New York-based, privately held music publisher founded in 1960 by renowned producer/arranger Milt Okun. The company's catalog includes songs recorded by Elvis Presley, John Denver, Quincy Jones and Ashford & Simpson, as well as the Black Eyed Peas and John Legend.
