The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association has promoted Arvind Manocha to COO, effective immediately. Based in Los Angeles, he will report to Deborah Borda, president and CEO of the Association.
Manocha will continue his responsibilities as VP and GM of the 17,300-seat Hollywood Bowl, and in addition will work closely with Borda in overseeing the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association's marketing, production, strategic planning and community affairs. He will also continue to manage the Association's relationship with its partners at the Hollywood Bowl and L.A.'s Walt Disney Concert Hall, as well as the County of Los Angeles.
Monocha joined the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association in 2000 as director of strategic operations for the Walt Disney Concert Hall. In 2005 he was promoted to GM at the Hollywood Bowl, where he has overseen all operational, production and construction-related activities. Additionally, Manocha has been responsible for programming of jazz, world music, orchestral pops and pop/rock at the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall.
He has also had stints at management consulting firm McKinsey & Company and the Colburn Foundation.
