Nashville-based production music company 615 Music has acquired music library company Metro Music. 615, which provides library and production music for television networks and programs, feature films, radio and commercials, has a roster of clients including NBC's "Today Show" and "ER," the Weather Channel, A&E and Comedy Central, among many others.
"Strategically, this acquisition made a great deal of sense for us, and helps us expand 615 Music's global outreach," 615 Music president/CEO Randy Wachtler said in a prepared statement. "With our marketing expertise, we will have the ability to help extend the reach of the Metro library even further."
"I know the library is in good hands and that 615 Music will serve us both well in terms of expanding our client base and keeping our long-term clients happy, " said Metro Music owner/composer Mitch Coodley.
With the addition of the Metro library, 615 Music now has 12 production libraries and over 500 CDs worth of music.
