Cherry Lane Music Publishing has extended its multi-year administration agreement with DreamWorks Animation SKG and DreamWorks Studios, which covers all music and film soundtracks released by the companies.
The deal includes worldwide administration rights for all three "Shrek" films, "Shark Tale," "Madagascar" and "Over the Hedge" created by DreamWorks Animation. It also includes such rights for "Blades of Glory," "Transformers," "American Beauty," "A Beautiful Mind" and many others by DreamWorks Studios. Administration rights for "Dreamgirls" are limited to the United States and Canada.
In a separate deal, Cherry Lane signed a co-publishing agreement with 14-year-old actress, singer and songwriter Keke Palmer. Her film credits as an actress include "Akeelah and the Bee," "Barbershop 2: Back in Business" and "Wool Cap."
Palmer's debut album, "So Uncool," is slated for release this week on Atlantic Records.
