Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has renewed his exclusive, worldwide co-publishing agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group. "The Pretender," the band's first single from its new album, is No. 1 on Billboard's Modern Rock chart.
Band members Taylor Hawkins and Chris Schiflett are also represented by UMPG. Their album, "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace," is currently No. 1 on Billboard's Top Digital chart.
Dave Grohl has four Grammys with the Foo Fighters for best rock album in 2003 ("One By One"); best music video in 2000 ("Learn to Fly"); best rock album in 2000 ("There Is Nothing Left to Lose"); and best rock performance in 2000 ("All My Life").
David Renzer, UMPG chairman/CEO, announced the deal today.
