Additions to the 2008 Vans Warped Tour lineup continue to roll in, as rock acts Pennywise and Motion City Soundtrack have announced select appearances on the 14th edition of the traveling summer festival.
Pennywise will help launch this year's Vans Warped Tour on June 20 at the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds in Pomona, Calif. The punk band will continue on the tour through June 29 at Invesco Field At Mile High in Denver. Pennywise will be on the road supporting its ninth studio album, "Reason to Believe," which was released in March via MySpace Records.
Motion City Soundtrack joins the 46-date trek for two weeks, beginning July 2 Post-Gazette Pavilion in Burgettstown, Pa., and wrapping Aug. 13 at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif. The band's stint includes a hometown stop on Aug. 3 at Canterbury Park in Minneapolis. Motion City Soundtrack's most recent album is 2007's "Even If It Kills Me" (Epitaph).
Last month, organizers revealed that Hasidic reggae rapper Matisyahu and rock act Chiodos would join this summer's Vans Warped Tour lineup for limited dates in July.
The artist's join previously announced Vans Warped Tour 2008 performers Paramore, Gym Class Heroes, Jack's Mannequin, Against Me!, Pennywise, Reel Big Fish, Cobra Starship, Every Time I Die, Angels and Airwaves, Aggrolites, As I Lay Dying, and the Academy Is..., among many others.
