Natalie Cole has recorded a new selection of standards for “Still Unforgettable,” due Sept. 9 via DMI Records.
The upcoming album arrives 17 years after Cole’s first reading of songs from the American Songbook: the multi-platinum album “Unforgettable...With Love.”
Its title track featured Cole’s memorable duet with her late father, Nat King Cole. The album subsequently earned five Grammy Awards, including song, record and album of the year.
Being released by DMI Records and distributed by Rhino/WEA, the 14-track “Still Unforgettable” finds Cole teaming with her father for Walkin’ My Baby Back Home.” Other classic tracks on the album include “The Best Is Yet to Come” and “Something’s Gotta Give.”
Recorded in the legendary Capitol Studios in Hollywood, Calif., the album marks Cole’s first producer credit.
