Imagem Music, the music publishing fund launched earlier this year by Dutch firms CP Masters and pension fund Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP, has signed Australian artist, writer and producer Jarrad Rogers to a global publishing deal.
Rogers, who is now based in London, has worked with the likes of Delta Goodrem, Lauren Hill, Bryn Christopher and Aussie pop singer Guy Sebastian, and is poised to launch his own artist project, SugaRush Beat Company, whose eponymous debut album will be released this August on RCA Records.
"Jarrad was looking for a focused publisher where he could be a priority and get the personal attention at this stage in his career and he and I felt we had found that when we met the people at Imagem," comments Sandy Roberton of Rogers' manager, Worlds End, in a statement.
Tim Smith, managing director of Imagem Music, describes Rogers as a "hugely talented writer, producer and artist with a growing international reputation.""
Imagem Music bought classical music publisher Boosey & Hawkes in April for about £126 million ($248.3 million). Imagem recently acquired various music rights catalogs from Universal Music Group, such as Zomba UK, Rondor UK, 19 Music and the greatest part of the BBC catalog.
