The BMI Foundation and Pepsi are sponsoring an annual scholarship competition for Latin songwriters and composers. The Music Enrichment Fund will award one $10,000 and two $5,000 scholarships to the writers of the top three songs entered into the competition by Sept. 30.
The winners' songs, which may be in any Latin genre, may be played at the Pepsi Blue Carpet Bash after the Latin Grammys in Houston Nov. 13.
Eligible candidates are between the ages of 21 and 28 and must be enrolled at a college or university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico. Competition rules are available at bmifoundation.org .
