Scottish rock outfit Franz Ferdinand has confirmed an individual release date for a dub version of its latest album "Tonight: Franz Ferdinand" (Domino), entitled "Blood."
The album was previously available as part of the box set and double disc versions of "Tonight," although the individual release includes an additional song, "Be Afraid," a version of "Dream Again."
Five hundred advance copies of the album, distributed to selected independent outlets as part of Record Store Day last Saturday (April 18), have already sold out. It will be officially released on June 1.
"Blood" was mixed by Dan Carey, who also produced "Tonight." He has previously worked with dub specialist the Mad Professor.
Franz Ferdinand is currently on tour in the U.S. and will head to Japan before returning to the U.K. for a series of summer festivals including Glastonbury and T in the Park.
