EMI Music unveiled a number of key appointments to its digital management team.
Syd Schwartz has been promoted to senior VP of digital marketing, focusing on digital marketing experiments and knowledge sharing within the companies various divisions. David Boyle joins the company from stints at consumer brands like Tesco and political services like Catalist as VP of consumer insight and validation. Eric Case left Google to take the role of VP of marketing platforms, where he will apply his technology and development skills to EMI's various digital assets and platforms. All report to Cory Ondrejka, EMI's executive VP of digital marketing.
Additionally, Charlotte Robertson of British Sky Broadcasting's online business unit joined the company as VP of consumer reach, driving the development of fan relationship programs via digital channels.
Regionally, Bob Heinemann was promoted to VP of interactive marketing for North America, reporting to Schwartz. Other regional appointments include Dan Duncombe as VP of digital marketing in the UK and Ireland, Achim Fettig as senior VP of digital marketing for continental Europe, and Geoff Smith as digital director for EMI's catalog unit.
