BMI has realigned its management team with senior executives Richard Conlon, Bruce Esworthy and Michael O'Neill taking on new responsibilities. Conlon, formerly VP of new media and strategic development, has been elevated to senior VP of corporate strategy, communications and new media, and in addition to the functions mentioned in his title, he will also oversee BMI's marketing and corporate planning.
BMI CFO Esworthy, based in Nashville, adds new duties as senior VP finance and administration, overseeing human resources and facilities in addition to managing the finance and accounting departments; and O'Neill's title changes from senior VP of licensing to senior VP of repertoire and licensing, adding oversight for BMI's writer/publisher relations, performing rights and special projects departments to his licensing responsibilities.
The three executives will report to BMI president and CEO Del Bryant. Conlon and O'Neill will remain in the company's New York headquarters.
The realignment follows the announced retirements at the end of 2010 of BMI executive VP and COO John Cody; and Landmark Digital Services MD Robert Barone. Landmark is a BMI unit that uses audio recognition for broadcast monitoring of music.
