Sony Music has named Sean Rosenberg to the role of VP of global account management for its global digital business unit. Rosenberg formerly was VP of mobile marketing, sales and business development at RCA/Jive, where he jumped into the mobile app space early on with such artists as Pink and David Archuleta. In his new role, Rosenberg will is charged with managing relationship with Sony’s digital distribution partners worldwide. He’s based in New York and reports to Ole Obermann, international senior VP of the Global Digital Business division.

I am pleased to announce Sean Rosenberg has been named Vice President, Global Account Management, Global Digital Business, Sony Music Entertainment.
Sean is based in New York and reports to Ole Obermann, Senior Vice President, International, Global Digital Business.
In this role, Sean will focus on managing day-to-day relationships with key global digital distribution partners, including with parent company Sony, Nokia, and other global partners, driving incremental revenue opportunities through various sales and marketing initiatives in partnership with Global Marketing and our local territories.
Sean has a deep knowledge of the mobile business and a history of developing exciting new products and solutions for phones and devices. We are delighted to have him join the team in our ongoing efforts to grow Sony Music Entertainment’s digital business around the world.
Since 2008 Sean has served as Vice President of Mobile Marketing, Sales and Business Development, RCA/Jive Label Group, where he oversaw opportunities and partnerships for RJLG artists in the mobile arena, as well as mobile marketing, advertising, sales and promotion endeavors.
Prior to that he was Director of Mobile Marketing, RCA Music Group, where he successfully executed mobile campaigns for Jamie Foxx, Alicia Keys, Avril Lavigne, Hurricane Chris, Leona Lewis, and the Dave Matthews Band.
Sean joined BMG in 2003 as a coordinator in the strategic marketing group.
