The Windish Agency  today announced it is opening West Coast headquarters in Los Angeles' Hancock Park neighborhood. The booking agency, which operates out of Chicago with satellite offices in Toronto and New York, is known for its large and eclectic roster of independent artists.
Amy Davidman, who has worked at the Windish Agency for the last four years, will head up the new office. She is currently working out of Santiago, Chile and will assume her new role in early-February.
"The music scene in Los Angeles is better now than it's ever been in my career," said company president Tom Windish, who temporarily relocated to Los Angeles to open the office. "Opportunities in the music business are thriving, and specifically for music across such platforms as film and TV and much of that business is based here."
The agency's roster includes such prominent indie artists as Animal Collective, Hot Chip, the xx and Flying Lotus.
