New York City's Governors Ball Music Festival has revealed the lineup for its 2012 edition, to be held June 23-24.
The bill features -- as usual -- dance-friendly artists like Passion Pit, Duck Sauce, Santigold, Major Lazer, Chromeo and Special Disco Version (LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy and Pat Mahoney). Governors Ball will also highlight a bevy of rock acts including Beck, Modest Mouse, Built To Spill, Devendra Barnhart, Cage the Elephant, Cults, Explosions in the Sky and more. Watch a goofy announcement video for the fest below.
Expanding to two days this year (June 23 and 24), the Governors Ball will also be shifting locales to Randall's Island Park in the East River. Day one will mirror last year's EDM and hip-hop-centric lineup, while the second day will feature the festival's rock acts.
Limited pre-sale tickets will be available Feb. 22 at 5 AM EST via Living Social; a direct link to the pre-sale will be provided on GovBall.com . General tickets will be on sale Feb. 24 at 10 AM EST on GovBall.com, with single and two-day tickets available, as well as VIP packages.
