On February 28, 1998 at the 17th Annual CFDA Awards -- an event celebrating another style icon, Elizabeth Taylor -- Lopez channels Hollywood glamor begins to revel her chic fashion flair.

Our Bronx songbird starts to push her style envelope, rocking a gold sequined dress at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards on February 24, 1999.

J. Lo leaves less to the imagination in this salacious, plunging gown she wore to the VH1/Vogue Fashion Awards on December 5, 1999. The dress stood out as Jenny's most jaw-dropping ensemble to date. Until...

Eyes couldn't help but bulge when Lopez hit the red carpet at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards February 23, 2000, wearing the infamous Versace gown that remains her boldest and most iconic look. The singer may not have won any awards that night, but it's easy to see why she still managed to score tons of headlines.

Lopez tipped her hat to her hip-hop roots when she showed up to the MTV Video Music Awards on September 7, 2000 in this midriff-baring, round-the-way-girl ensemble, matching then-boyfriend Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs to a T.

By now, Jennifer was a celebrated A-list actress as well as a chart-topping singer. Here, she's seen posing for photographers at the Shrine Auditorium during the 73rd Academy Awards in Los Angeles 25 March, 2001. At first, the Chanel haute couture gown appears more demure that her previous ensembles, but the flashbulbs revealed a sexy surprise underneath the completely sheer top.

Isn't she pretty in pink? Keeping her couture look hot (but a bit more PG-rated), Lopez attends the 74th Annual Academy Awards held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, on March 24, 2002. J.Lo is a vision in her gorgeous, rose-colored Versace gown. We're not sure about that 'do, though.

Just when we thought she'd gone high-glam for good, J. Lo lets her B-Girl loose at MTV's "TRL" on May 22, 2002. The velour suit, complete with large gold hoop earrings, proves Jenny still knows her way back to the block.

Halloween came early for Jen on October 29, 2003, as she showed up to the Dolce & Gabbana launch party at Bergdorf Goodman in NYC rocking a gypsy-meets-retired-Grandmother look. She earned less rewards for this fashion risk.

Jennifer quickly bounced back when she arrived to the Costume Institute Gala, "Dangerous Liaisons," on April 26, 2004. Jenny had the perfect accessories for her decadent black Dolce & Gabbana gown -- she arrived with the designers themselves.

Lopez showed up to the launch of her new album 'Rebirth' at Virgin Megastore in Times Square on March 1, 2005 with an American-Indian inspired ensemble. Sadly, this look is less 'wow' and more 'WTF?'

Once again, J. Lo recovers from a major fashion flop with a stunning high-glamor ensemble. She arrives at the 'El Cantente' premiere at the Museo de Arte in San Juan, Puerto Rico on July 23, 2007 looking like a true Hollywood starlet. we love how the sculpted, bronze, ruched evening gown was polished off with a pair of chandelier earrings, and a dramatic pulled-back 'do.

Singer, dancer, actress ... designer! Jennifer became a quadruple threat when her "Just Sweet" collection was launched during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Here, she's seen strutting down the runway on September 11, 2007 wearing the newly launched line.

J. Lo showed up to the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 11, 2009 looking like a Greek goddess. Dripping gold in a dazzling Marchesa gown, Lopez turned every head with her glamazon look, accented by Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
