  • You've had quite the year, music fashion. Exotic, colorful, and bizarre looks have covered the industry's biggest artists, from Madonna to Florence Welch to LMFAO. Ride this wardrobe carousel and check out our picks for the best and worst fashions of the year.

  • BEST: MADONNA & LOURDES
The ultimate mother and daughter power duo, Madonna and Lourdes, are fashion and music royalty. Madonna has recently stepped into the spotlight to promote her film "W.E." and reinvented herself with a royal fascination with Kate Middleton. Lourdes seems to have taken style pointers from her dapper mom, rocking extravagant looks tinged with attitude. Perhaps the Queen of Pop allows her daughter to share her exclusive closet goodies.

  • BEST: JUSTIN BIEBER
Old Hollywood glamour has been revived this year in the youth-pop scene. Young stars have rocked looks inspired by old Hollywood greats like Greta Garbo and James Dean and Bieber's grownup new look is perhaps one of the best examples of this reawakening. The Biebs has of course added a bit of a modern edge to his look, in the form of a petite tattoo and piercing.

  • WORST: KE$HA
What's blonde, chaotic, and covered in glitter? The raining queen of all that sparkles, Ke$ha, of course. This year the singer's style took a turn for the ugly, as she seemed to have lost her funky edge, becoming more disheveled rather then tousled.

  • BEST: BEYONCE
Beyonce made the baby bump the new black for 2011. An orange Lanvin gown never shocked so much as when Jay-Z's lady revealed her latest accessory, a mini baby bump, on the MTV Video Music Awards black carpet. The singer's diva-licious grace and style continued in dazzling ways throughout the second half of the year as she has rocked her supreme take on maternity wear.

  • BEST: KATY PERRY
Best dressed? Okay maybe not, but Katy wins the award for going through the most transformations during the year. The "Firework" singer went from brunette bombshell, to a blue haired California dream girl, to a pretty in pink beauty, all while putting a fresh twist on her unique charm. Perry blossomed throughout the year, rocking fun looks that stayed true to her lighthearted personality.

  • WORST: KREAYSHAWN
New to the music scene, Kreayshawn proved that she still has a bit to learn when it comes to style. Notorious for strongly disliking designer labels, the "Gucci Gucci" singer rocks looks that she claims are inspired from 80's street wear but really seem scattered all over the map. Perhaps a bit more time in the industry and this Oakland rapper will find her voice.

  • BEST: FLORENCE WELCH
This sultry and velvety voiced songbird always appears to be fresh off a film noir set. From her fiery red hair to the countless Chanel gowns, her unwavering style is always on display. Ms. Welch's fairytale aura has brought her to the Chanel runway show where the singer performed out of a life-size shell. Florence's regal and graceful charm makes her one of the best dressed singers of the year.

  • BEST: LADY GAGA
Capturing another dimension of fashion, Gaga continued her majestic sartorial journey throughout 2011, even landing on the cover of Vogue. Shocking and just a tad risque, Gaga's style evolved to a more alien panache that began with her brilliant rebirth via a Hussein Chalayan designed womb at the Grammys. Her fearless style has landed her on our charts as one of the best dressed of the year. She was, after all, born this way.

  • WORST: LMFAO
We understand why they do it. Oversized glasses, animal print pants, silk-screened T's and teensy Speedos make up the perfect uniform for LMFAO's fun-having, party rocking music. But that doesn't make their oft-gaudy choices any less jarring on the eyes.

  • WORST: HAYLEY WILLIAMS
The Paramore lead singer's sartorial style seems to embody the title of her album, "Riot," in that it appears to be rebelling against her. The singer contradicts her rocker image with many standard costume choices. Her fashion over the past year fell a bit flat and lacked the sweltering excitement she exuded so freely earlier in her career.

  • BEST: KANYE WEST & JAY-Z
The duo added a sprinkle of regal charm to urban wear as they rocked stages worldwide to promote their set, "Watch the Throne." Simple T-shirts were injected with a powerful punch as the "Otis" guys paired simple staples with leather pants, kickass sneakers, and Versace for H&M jackets.

  • WORST: JESSIE J
"My fashion mantra is always wear something you can go to the toilet in," Jessie J mused on her fashion beliefs. This lover of all things leopard, who at times appears to have been attacked by the large cat she's wearing, may need to discover a new mantra. Disorganized and chaotic, Ms. J's style lacks the glow of her peers and falls flat when compared with similarly dressed artists.

  • BEST: NICKI MINAJ
This daring maiden of fashion exudes a fiery energy so strong that it seems to cause her hair to change shades of neon. The "Super Bass" rapper has filled our drab days with frantic, color-drenched looks (often inspired by Japan street style). Nicki's ferocious style has evolved quickly, and she's developed a clear vision, bubbling with leathers, strong angular silhouettes, and an eye for insanely out-there footwear.
