Zooey Deschanel filed for divorce from Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard on Dec. 27, according to People.
The magazine reported that the She & Him singer and "New Girl" actress cited irreconcilable differences in her court papers, noting the date of separation as Oct. 31.
Billboard.com confirmed the indie-rock split in November, less than a week after She & Him's first Christmas album arrived in stores. Deschanel later told People, "We're friendly. It's all fine."
The pair tied the knot in 2009.
