The 1998 Smokin' Grooves tour will kick off in July, with Wyclef Jean, Busta Rhymes, a reunited Public Enemy, Gang Starr, Cypress Hill, and Canibus. Tour dates and venues have yet to be announced.
In addition, after months of promising dates, King Britt is ready to take his hip-hop/R&B collective, Sylk 130, on the road. The 13-piece outfit will kick off its stateside outing May 1 in Reno, Nev., with shows scheduled for San Francisco (May 2), Los Angeles (May 4), New York (May 6), and Philadelphia (May 8). Sylk 130's Ovum/Ruffhouse/Columbia debut, "When The Funk Hits The Fan," was released last January.
