According to the lawsuit, Guiney signed an agreement that he could not promote product unrelated to "The Bachelor" without ASP's permission. ASP claims to have denied Guiney and Wind-Up permission to promote the album.
The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages and prevention of Guiney from making any more personal appearances to publicize the album. In the court papers, ASP says that by promoting the album in relation to Guiney's "Bachelor" fame, Guiney and Wind-Up are seeking to "make a windfall profit at ASP's expense."
"3 Sides" peaked at No. 114 on The Billboard 200 earlier this month. A label spokesperson tells Billboard.com it is company policy not to comment on pending litigation.
