Irish pop pin-up act Westlife achieved its ninth U.K. No. 1 yesterday (Nov. 11) as "Queen Of My Heart" (RCA) replaced Afroman's "Because I Got High" (Universal Island) at the top of the region's singles chart. It's the lead song from the quintet's third album "World Of Our Own," which is released today. Those nine chart-toppers have been achieved in just two-and-a-half years, since "Swear It Again" opened the group's account in May 1999.
Meanwhile another pop five-piece, Steps, returned to No. 1 on the U.K. album chart with the Ebul/Jive set "Gold - The Greatest Hits," despite powerful competition from no fewer than four new entries.
